A Tulsa native, raised in Oklahoma City, Rob Gardenhire joined the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits as Vice President of Resource Development in September of 2020. Fresh off a twelve-year career in professional sports, most notably with the Tulsa Drillers and USA BMX. Rob brings an enthusiastic approach to fundraising and relationship management. From OKCNP’s offices in Tulsa, Rob leads the Development Team responsible for all aspects of fundraising, events and donor relations.
After earning his undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, Rob obtained his MBA in Marketing Management from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas. Rob’s passion for social justice has led to dedicated service in his communities throughout his career. First, as a founding member of Camp Anytown in Oklahoma in 1994, then serving as a board member and eventual Chair of the Greenwood Cultural Center, Rob and his wife, Carrie Gardenhire, recently joined the board at the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice.
Rob brings a diverse administrative background to OKCNP from his roles in education, athletic administration, sales, marketing, event management and fundraising. Rob played an integral role in the Drillers 2010 move to ONEOK Field in downtown Tulsa, and led the fundraising efforts for the USA BMX headquarters currently under construction in the historic Greenwood District of Tulsa.
Rob and his wife enjoy raising their two girls, Emma (16) and Ainsley (14), in Tulsa. The family stays busy attending the girls’ sporting events, golfing, and spending their weekends boating and fishing on nearby Lake Skiatook.
