Nonprofits to monitor looming federal issues
By Tyler Talley, reporter for eCapitol
The Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits reported three areas of concern to the charitable sector last week, all three of which loom overhead nationally at the federal level.
Center staff traveled to Washington, D.C., June 21 to meet with legislators and staffers for Oklahoma’s five congressional districts as well as its two senators. A nonprofit itself, the organization aims to equip and strengthen the state’s nonprofit sector via training, consulting, advocacy, membership, networking and awards.
