Director of Communications and Events
United Way of Central Oklahoma is seeking a full-time Director of Communications and Events. This position will work closely with the Vice President of Communications to implement communication strategies across the organization. Manage, print and digital publications, communications collateral, website, social media, content creation, and events to promote a consistent, positive message and image to United Way to public.
Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills with proficient knowledge of AP Style; versatile copywriting, content creation and proofreading skills: Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft, Adobe Creative Suite. Needs the ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must possess strong organizational competence, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. Must have the ability to take full ownership of assigned projects. Can work independently as well as part of a team, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships. Highly self-motivated with proactive approach to problem solving: Video production and editing experience preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism or other related field, from an accredited college or university required. A minimum of three to five years experience in communications role preferred.
