Position Description:

  • Provide Education services to Family Builder client’s including Group facilitation, Parent-Child Observations, and intake assessments
    • Facilitate groups according to outlines and material provided
    • Provide intake assessments when trained as needed
    • Record client progress, observations, and concerns, if any, clearly and concisely after each session
    • Maintain professional ethics including client confidentiality, reporting suspected neglect or abuse, and maintain appropriate therapist-client boundaries
    • Maintain professional licensure, if applicable. Attend a mandatory scheduled quarterly training session. Twelve (12) hours needed annually for DHS contract providers
    • Utilize staffing for consultation and professional development, participating in a team approach to client treatment
    •  Review client record adequately enough to be familiar with relevant issues about history and risk
    • Complete Parent-Child Observation and individual feedback when trained; as needed
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Position Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a Behavioral field with two years of related experience. Knowledge of child abuse/neglect dynamics, child development, domestic violence, and positive parenting skills

Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the records handled by this position, an individual must be of exemplary character and have high ethical standards. Willingness to appropriately confront client’s; team attitude
