Position Description:

United Way of Central Oklahoma is seeking a full-time Communications & Events Manager to plan and execute United Way of Central Oklahoma’s events. Responsible for social media strategy and practices, making sure in both events and social media a positive, consistent message and image of United Way is evident by donors, volunteers, staff, and the community.

Position Qualifications:

A Bachelor degree in marketing, public relations, event coordination, journalism, communications or related field. In lieu of a degree, job experience will be accepted, with approval of the President/CEO.

1-2 years of marketing, public relations, event coordination, volunteer coordination or related experience required.

Position Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite skills preferred. Must have excellent written and oral presentation proficiency; ability to efficiently and effectively handle multiple projects; organizational competence and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines, ability to work as part of a team; excellent people skills; web and electronic newsletter writing and excellent social media practices.
