Reporting directly Child Placement Supervisor of the Anna’s House Foundation. This position's primary responsibility is to certify perspective foster families. This role is essential to ensuring emotion and physical safety is present in the foster home.
**Provide initial foster parent orientation one on one and in group setting as appropriate. Conduct foster parent training at least 4 times annually as well as bi-annual continuing education,
**Submit certification paperwork to OKDHS for initial and final notices to proceed as a part of certification process. Sets families up for fingerprinting. Performs all required background and reference checks,
**Complete family interviews and submit written homestudies to Placement Supervisor within 60 days from initial application,
**Manage various special projects as designated by the Placement Supervisor and/or Executive Director for implementation and execution of key team objectives within the strategic plan,
**Maintain 8:30-5:00 in office hours
**Skilled at working in a team and place organizational success above personal success,
**Proficient at creating and tracking project schedules,
**Willingness to communicate by phone or email outside of normal business hours,
**Skilled at working well independently and within continuously evolving teams and other organizations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
**Bachelor’s degree in social work, behavioral or social science, administration, or a related field,
**A preferred minimum of one year experience in writing home studies,
**Detail oriented, with strong written and oral communication skills in order to manage a continuous workflow of a high volume, multi-tasking environment,
**Energetic, articulate and self-assured, and possess strong interpersonal skills,
**Ability to interact with persons of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in a manner that demonstrates sensitivity toward difference.
