Director of Housing Programs & Services
The Director of Housing Programs & Services – OKC is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all the Mental Health Association Oklahoma’s housing programs and services in the Oklahoma City area. These programs consist of a wide array of services such as housing assistance, recovery supports, case management, outreach services, crisis intervention, and clinical consultation. This position will also represent the Association on an administrative level promoting positive collaboration, and cultivating relationships with the Oklahoma City-based community health and mental health agencies, social services organizations, the Continuum of Care and other key stakeholders in the Oklahoma City area.
Ability to manage, supervise, and lead at multiple levels in the organization, including; standing in for Director of Housing and Recovery Services, as necessary; Thorough knowledge of systems theory and management techniques; Thorough knowledge of various mental illnesses and diagnostic categories for purposes of clinical management of client cases, and providing supervision, education and training; Extensive knowledge and experience working with families or individuals who are homeless or chronically homeless, disabled (mental or physical), or with substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders; Solid foundation and knowledge base of Community Resources in Oklahoma City/County and surrounding counties; Strong oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills; Ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations both internally and in large community/public settings; Proficient PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications; Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with other data management systems including internet based applications; Business administration experience that includes accountability for financial oversight of program operations and budgeting processes; Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities. Must be able to systematically gather relevant information and apply logic to solving problems and make decisions; interprets various types of data; sees the relationships and inter-relationships among concepts, issues or situations; handles crisis situations and makes clinical and management decisions with ease, speed, accuracy and precision; Ability to manage relationships with external and internal partners; Ensures that information is always reviewed and presented in a thorough and accurate manner; precisely captures information to complete work accurately; focuses on the smaller elements and/or the fine points of material or processes; Works well in a team environment; self-motivated; results oriented; ability to multi-task and ability to delegate as necessary.
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a similar degree. Management and supervisory experience of a least 3 years post-graduate; Requisite current and active licensure is required (LCSW, LSW-Adm, LCSW-u/s, LPC, LMFT, etc.).
