Samis Family Education Center, The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center
The University of Oklahoma Child Study Center's Sooner Success program is sponsoring a day-long leadership and training event, SUCCESSforlife, to engage local communities at the county level in the creation of a comprehensive, community-based, unified system of health, social and educational services for Oklahoma children. This one-day conference will comprise plenary and keynote addresses from state health experts, a panel discussion from organizational leaders about recent, successful community initiatives, and breakout sessions addressing collaborations, organizational management, fiscal responsibility, outcome measurement, fundraising and social marketing.
The symposium will help participating organizations do the following:
- Gain an understanding of the most current and pressing children's health issues in Oklahoma;
- Learn from organizations from all parts of the state that have identified specific problems and successfully addressed them through systematic and collaborative innovation; and
- Receive training to help organizations identify local issues and solutions, build collaborations, build and engage board and community leadership, raise necessary funds to tackle problems, communicate with constituents and utilize nonprofit management best practices and standards to maintain fiscal transparency.
This event is SOLD OUT! We cannot wait to see you there!
